This year Seraphim will be proud sponsors of the How Far 2011 challenge. The HOW FAR CHALLENGE is a 36 hour event (25th-26th June, 2011) in which teams compete to get as far away from Brighton as possible and back again, using no money.  Their only currency is their wit, charm, out of the box thinking and persuasive conversation.  Whilst competing in this challenge participants will:

Take as many different types of transports as possible (last year we managed milk floats, boats, cars, lorries, trains, street cleaning vehicles, scooters amongst others!)

"Good luck to all those taking part in the How Far Challenge. St Peter’s Church does valuable work in our city and I hope that your efforts to raise much needed funds, as well as the profile of projects like Safe Haven, are very successful. It’s great to hear that so many of Brighton and Hove’s young people are willing to give something back to their local community and I am sure each and every one of you will  enjoy the experience hugely too."

Caroline Lucas MP, Leader of The Green Party

"The work undertaken by St Peter's Church and other organisations in the City to alleviate the problems associated with drug and alcohol addiction and homelessness is vital.  We recognise that their contributions provide invaluable support to agencies such as Sussex Police in tackling these issues and I wish them every success for their 'How Far' Challenge, which should not only raise a significant amount of money, but looks as though it will be enormous fun for everyone taking part"

Giles York, Deputy Chief Constable Sussex Police
